Are you a relationship-builder who thrives on helping clients succeed and spotting opportunities before they become challenges? Sandbox Software is looking for an Account Manager to help us amplify good by supporting some of Canada’s leading non-profit, healthcare, public sector, and mission-driven organizations.

This isn’t your average account management role. You’ll be the trusted advisor and day-to-day relationship lead for a portfolio of clients, helping them navigate digital initiatives while uncovering opportunities to expand and enhance the impact of their websites, hosting environments, accessibility programs, and digital services. Working closely with our delivery, support, and leadership teams, you’ll help ensure every client experience is strategic, responsive, and built for long-term success.

Role Description

The Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing key client relationships, supporting retention and expansion across assigned accounts, and ensuring clients experience responsive, strategic, and well-coordinated service throughout their journey with Sandbox.

This role leads day-to-day account strategy for assigned clients, identifies opportunities to expand services, and works closely with internal teams to support successful delivery. The Account Manager will be the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.

The Account Manager works closely with other team members and departments to provide client leadership, support accurate scoping and forecasting, guide smooth transitions, and strengthen long-term client satisfaction and account health.

Work Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours

Location: Hybrid, remote and at our Guelph location a minimum of two days a week

Expected Skills and Experience

5+ years in account management, client service, business development, or delivery within a digital agency or technology services environment
Proven experience managing key client relationships, account growth, renewals, and retention
Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to identify opportunities, manage risks, and support revenue growth
Strong ability to coordinate across sales, delivery, operations, and leadership teams
Experience leading or supporting proposals, estimates, statements of work, renewals, and client presentations
Excellent communication, organization, follow-up, negotiation, and relationship management skills
Ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, risks, and timelines with strong attention to detail
Sound judgment, practical problem-solving skills, and a proactive client-focused mindset
Experience working with web, software, or digital transformation services
Experience using CRM, project management tools, reporting frameworks, and pipeline tracking
Experience leveraging AI or automation tools to improve efficiency is an asset
Written and spoken French proficiency is an asset

Responsibilities

Account Growth and Pipeline Management

Contribute to account growth efforts by identifying client needs, expansion opportunities, renewals, and potential next steps
Contribute to revenue targets through account expansion, renewals, repeat work, and strong client retention
Maintain visibility into opportunities across assigned accounts and drive timely follow-up with clients and internal teams
Keep client information, opportunities, pipeline activity, and account plans current in internal systems.

Client Leadership and Relationship Management

Build trusted client relationships through proactive communication, responsiveness, business understanding, and sound judgment
Understand client priorities, challenges, goals, and decision-making context to help align Sandbox services to their needs
Identify opportunities to deepen partnerships and bring forward strategic opportunities, risks, or decisions
Represent Sandbox confidently in client meetings, strategic check-ins, renewal conversations, and follow-up discussions

Proposal, Scoping, and Solution Development

Lead or support proposals, estimates, statements of work, renewals, and client presentations for assigned accounts
Work with internal teams to clarify scope, timelines, assumptions, pricing inputs, risks, and delivery approach
Ensure client-facing materials are accurate, clear, commercially sound, and aligned with agreed expectations
Escalate delivery risks, scope questions, margin concerns, or strategic decisions with clear recommendations

Account and Delivery Coordination

Coordinate with delivery teams to support clear handoffs, timely updates, issue resolution, and alignment on client expectations
Track client feedback, project status, scope questions, risks, and opportunities that may affect account performance or the client experience
Anticipate concerns early and help coordinate practical solutions with the appropriate internal leads

Internal Collaboration

Work collaboratively to set priorities for assigned accounts
Share client context, expectations, feedback, and account insights to help teams deliver effectively
Contribute to account planning, forecasting, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts
Model accountability, responsiveness, and client-focused service in day-to-day collaboration

Portfolio Performance

Track account activity, revenue opportunities, client satisfaction indicators, and key updates for assigned accounts
Contribute to forecasting, account reporting, pipeline updates, and portfolio-level visibility as required
Recommend process improvements that strengthen delivery consistency, account health, and the overall client experience

Strategy and Growth

Bring forward ideas that improve account management, client communication, service delivery, and growth planning
Stay informed about client sectors, digital trends, tools, and technologies relevant to Sandbox’s work
Share client and market insights that may inform service development, positioning, or account strategy
Support Client Experience initiatives that strengthen retention, growth, client satisfaction, and delivery consistency
