IT – Support Analyst 1

Responsibilities

Provide support for customer requests, analyze problems, and escalate issues when necessary
Communicate technical information to nontechnical users
Troubleshoot desktop and printer hardware and software issues; resolve issues to the end user's satisfaction
Install, configure, and test all new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software
Troubleshoot LAN/WAN and connectivity issues

Experience Requirements

Possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience in the resolution of issues related to desktop, applications, or network systems in a Windows environment OR
A university degree or diploma in computer science recent graduate
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong written documentation and note-taking skills.
Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
Experience supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems.
Experience supporting POS or E-Commerce systems.
Basic understanding of networking concepts including:

TCP/IP
DNS
DHCP
VPN Connectivity
Wireless Networking

Beneficial To Have

While not required, experience with any of the following technologies would be considered an asset:

Microsoft 365 Administration
Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
Azure Fundamentals
IT Service Management platforms (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Freshservice, Zendesk, etc.)
Sophos Endpoint Security
Dell hardware platforms
Cisco, Meraki, or Ubiquiti networking equipment
Enterprise laptop and desktop deployments
Hospitality technology platforms
Multi-site support environments
Customer service or hospitality experience

Education

A university degree, diploma in computer science, or related IT certificates.

CompTIA Network+
CompTIA Security+
Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900)

Responsibilities

Respond to customer support requests, diagnose desktop, printer, application, network, and connectivity issues, and escalate problems when needed. Install, configure, and test workstations, peripherals, and software, while communicating technical information clearly and resolving issues to users’ satisfaction.

Requirements

Applicants need at least one year of relevant desktop, application, or network support experience in a Windows environment, or a recent computer science graduate with a university degree or diploma. Strong troubleshooting, customer service, communication, documentation, prioritization, and Windows support skills are required; the role is based in Revelstoke, is onsite, and includes a weekend rotation.
