Location: BC

At Sandvik, we offer you a world of opportunities. Our diverse businesses and global network enable you to explore your potential and thrive. We recognize your performance and offer various ways to fuel your growth towards exceptional achievements.

Ready to take your warehouse experience into the mining industry? Sandvik is hiring a Warehouse Technician to support warehouse operations at mine sites in BC. You will receive, store, track and ship the materials that keep site teams supplied and mining operations moving, while gaining firsthand exposure to how a mine-site warehouse operates.

If you have warehouse or inventory experience, are comfortable operating a forklift, and enjoy organized, practical work, this could be your opportunity to bring those skills into the mining industry. The two-weeks-on/two-weeks-off rotation gives you focused time on site followed by two full weeks off.

Ready to see where a warehouse career can take you? Apply today and join Sandvik in a role where you can build mine-site experience, support essential operations and work a two-weeks-on/two-weeks-off rotation. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits and pension package, with site and travel allowances depending on the assignment.

What you will be doing

Receive, inspect and audit incoming materials to ensure inventory records are accurate.
Coordinate the safe storage and timely shipment of materials in accordance with established procedures.
Prepare shipping and receiving schedules to keep goods moving efficiently and warehouse space well organized.
Help maintain effective operating procedures, space utilization, facilities and equipment.
Process sales orders and invoices accurately.
Update and maintain the warehouse location and computerized inventory systems.
Support customer on-call services as required.
Take on other duties that support safe and efficient warehouse operations.

Environmental Health and Safety

We are ethical and compliant, dedicated to health, safety, and sustainability. We put health and safety first!

Comply with Sandvik safety policies and applicable government, customer, and industry regulations or requirements.
Identify and report unsafe work habits, workplace incidents, and near misses. Perform risk assessments (Take Five) before each task.
Maintain an orderly work area and ensure housekeeping requirements are met.
Attend Environmental, Health and Safety related training.
Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) assigned for each task.

What you will bring along

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of one (1) year of warehouse or inventory experience.
Previous experience in mining operations is an asset but is not required.
Experience operating a forklift is required.
Experience using computerized inventory management systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team.
Detail-oriented with good time management and organizational skills.
Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Valid driver's licence in good standing.

In return for your passion and drive we will offer you...

A two-weeks-on/two-weeks-off rotation, giving you two full weeks off between rotations.
Firsthand exposure to warehouse operations at mine sites.
A hands-on role where your work directly supports safe, organized and efficient mining operations.
Ongoing training and opportunities to strengthen your warehouse skills and grow your career with a global industry leader.
An excellent comprehensive compensation package including a pension plan with matching, competitive health, dental, life and disability benefits.
Site and travel allowances may be provided based on the assignment.
The starting hourly wage for this position is [$28.00] per hour, with the final offer determined by the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and applicable local market conditions.
