Job Description
What you'll bring
You're enrolled in a Computer Science or Engineering program at an accredited post-secondary institution. You're energized by building real software and want to develop your skills in a cloud-native, team-based environment.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or Java - or a strong drive to develop those skills
- Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and how distributed systems work
- A solid grasp of fundamental data structures and algorithms
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- A customer-focused mindset - you care about product quality and the end-user experience
We also look for people who communicate clearly, keep the customer in mind, and enjoy finding smart solutions to problems - whatever stage of your career you're at.
In addition to the role-specific skills above, all student and early talent positions at SAP look for candidates who are open to working with AI tools - including agentic AI - to automate everyday tasks, prototype ideas, and build confidence in AI-assisted ways of working from day one.
What you'll build
You'll join the Business Data Cloud team and contribute to a cloud-native data and analytics platform used by hundreds of thousands of customers worldwide. Your work will have real product impact from day one.
- Develop new product features for the Business Data Cloud platform
- Write automated tests that validate feature quality and catch regressions early
- Strengthen and maintain the existing codebase as the product evolves
- Participate in agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Present your work through code reviews and sprint demos alongside your team
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to ship product improvement
Where you belong
Business Data Cloud is a global team building a cloud-native platform that integrates analytics, planning, and business intelligence for hundreds of thousands of customers. You'll grow through regular coaching, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions in a team that invests in everyone. When you join SAP, you'll be a part of SAP Next Gen - a global community of students and early professionals with access to mentors, development programmes, and peers. This full-time, on-site internship runs 40 hours per week from January 4 to August 31, 2027, at SAP Labs Vancouver.
