Position Summary

Garaventa Lift is seeking a Technical Support & Training Specialist to provide troubleshooting support and product training for our accessibility and mobility equipment. This role is responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues over the phone, and for delivering training to dealers, technicians, and customers both virtually and on site. The successful candidate will travel regularly within Canada and the United States to support field training and technical escalations. Key Responsibilities

Provide phone-based technical support to dealers, technicians, and customers, troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with Garaventa Lift products.
Deliver virtual and in-person training sessions on the installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Garaventa Lift products.
Develop and update training materials, manuals, and technical documentation to support ongoing product education.
Travel to customer and dealer sites across Canada and the United States to conduct on-site training and resolve complex technical issues.
Track and document support calls, training sessions, and recurring technical issues, escalating trends to Engineering or Product teams as needed.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with dealers and technicians to support product knowledge and customer satisfaction.
Stay current on product updates, engineering changes, and industry standards relevant to elevator and lift equipment.
Support the development of certification or training programs for dealer technicians.

Qualifications & Experience

Hands-on experience working with elevators, lifts, or vertical transportation equipment is strongly preferred; a diploma or certificate in a related technical field (electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical) is an asset.
Prior experience in technical support, field service, installation, maintenance, or training within the elevator, lift, or mobility equipment industry.
Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
Comfortable presenting to groups and delivering training both virtually and in person.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Valid driver's license and valid passport, with the ability to travel to the United States.
Proficiency with standard office and virtual training software (e.g., Microsoft Office, video conferencing platforms).

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Class H Elevating Devices Mechanic, or equivalent hands-on experience working on elevators, platform lifts, stairlifts, or other vertical transportation equipment.
Experience with wheelchair lifts, stairlifts, or similar accessibility equipment.

Travel Requirements

This role requires regular travel to customer and dealer locations across Canada and the United States for on-site training and technical support. Travel frequency will vary based on business needs.
