Who You Are:

You are a one of a kind Technical Sales Representative with experience in generating and qualifying new leads, and developing those leads. You build solid relationships with all stakeholders and customers see you as a partner in their business. At your core, you are a technically minded strategic sales thinker, who not only knows the SCG Process Group’s business but also has a desire to know what our customers do.

Your mission at SCG Process is not only to take the customers we currently have and keep them but also to make the customers we do not currently work with want to partner with us.

You love a challenge and the opportunity to learn new things. Never have you been accused of waiting for work to come to you, if you feel like you are caught up you go out and find new opportunities.

You enjoy traveling and the pursuit of new business.

About the Role:

Identify business opportunities and proactively approach clients to inform and educate them on the company’s products.
Develop annual sales territory and account plans to achieve assigned targets.
Determine customer’s needs by demonstrating knowledge of the industry, pricing, and competition.
Sell products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospective customers and current clients.
Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.
Meet booking targets, pipeline management and key account management goals.
Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
Assist in creating proposals and quotes where required.
Frequent travel to conduct meetings with clients and prospective clients; attend tradeshows, exhibitions, conferences, etc.

Required Experience:

Post-secondary education in the mechanical or engineering fields.
5 years of inside or outside sales experience.
B2B experience selling industrial products and solutions.
Experience with mechanical seals, pumps, blowers, instrumentation and related process equipment is an asset.
Experience in municipal water and wastewater treatment required.
