Position Overview:

Join SSI SCHAEFER, a global leader in intralogistics, warehouse automation, and material handling solutions. With more than 8,600 employees worldwide, we help organizations improve operational efficiency through innovative storage, picking, transport, and software solutions.

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to help grow our business across Canada. This role is ideal for a bilingual sales professional who enjoys prospecting, building relationships, and creating new business opportunities.

You will play a critical role in identifying prospective customers, generating qualified sales opportunities, and supporting the continued growth of our organization.

Essential Functions:

Generate new leads across Canada to increase company’s new business pipeline and potentialize sales success.
Active prospecting through cold calls, cold emails etc.
Responsible communication while contacting potential customers and introducing SSI Schaefer and our solutions.
Build credibility and trust across all customer contacts.
Uncover business initiatives and future investments in intralogistics.
Create, monitor, and revise lead generation action plans to generate the required sales opportunity pipeline to meet sales targets.
Generate leads and qualify leads.
Document prospect information and details in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
Develop prospecting reports.
Professional, dependable, committed and punctual.
Results-oriented and highly motivated with a positive attitude.
Superb organization, time management & record keeping skills.
Fulfill assigned tasks & complete projects as directed by your superior.
Curiosity to learn and understand new products and technologies.
Customer/leads visits.
All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Fluent in English and French.
2-5 years of business development, sales development, lead generation, or related B2B sales experience.
Experience with cold calling, cold email outreach, and prospecting.
Proven ability to generate and qualify leads.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

Generate and qualify new business leads across Canada through cold calls, email outreach, and other prospecting activities, while introducing SSI SCHAEFER’s intralogistics solutions to potential customers. Maintain prospect records and reports in the CRM, build customer trust, identify future business needs, and manage lead-generation plans to support sales targets.

Requirements

Candidates must be fluent in English and French and have 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales development, lead generation, or related B2B sales. They should have experience with cold outreach, lead generation and qualification, CRM systems such as Salesforce, strong communication and organizational skills, and a valid driver’s license with the ability to travel within the assigned territory.
