Your Key Responsibilities

High attention to detail with respect to health and safety, personal behaviour and chemistry in plating room.
Operation of ovens
Building load in accordance to load plan
General housekeeping as it pertains to safety of personnel in the plating room.
Racking and unracking parts to be plated on the automatic lineTimely transitioning parts from the plating line to the hydrogen embrittlement ovens for heat treatment
Visual assessment of plated/stripped surface to ensure completion of operation
Assist technician with tasks related to the ventilation, laboratory or water treatment systems
Daily/Weekly TPM for equipment and chemical systems.
Perform basic problem solving and troubleshoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards.
Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced by process. Monitor production process according to maintenance schedule and perform routine maintenance in timely manner.
Follow and accurately record data as directed or required in routers, IMS and any other production tracking systems.
Required to train other operators as needed.
May be required to work in other departments or occasionally to set up a process for others to operate.
Requires adequate computer skills to access production procedures to perform the required work.
Responsible for excellent housekeeping and maintaining 5S in all areas.
Meet the skill requirements identified in the applicable training matrix and maintain certification through company Certified Operator Program.

Education: Grade 12 diploma
Experience: Mechanical aptitude
