🚨 NOW HIRING – EDGE BANDER OPERATOR | FURNITURE MANUFACTURING
📍 Location: Scarborough, ON (Finchdene Square)
💰 Pay Rate: $22.50–$25.00/hour (Based on Experience)
📅 Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site
⏰ Work Schedule:
- Monday–Thursday: 7:25 AM – 4:25 PM
- Friday: 7:25 AM – 1:25 PM
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Edge Bander Operator to join a well-established furniture manufacturing facility in Scarborough.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating industrial edge-banding machinery, with strong knowledge of machine setup, adjustments, material handling, and quality control.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate edge-banding equipment, preferably the IMA Novimat Concept.
- Adjust machine settings, glue application, feed speeds, and trimming operations.
- Work with MDF, particleboard, laminate, PVC, ABS, and wood veneer.
- Inspect finished components to ensure accurate edging, proper adhesion, and quality finishes.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and equipment inspections.
- Follow production specifications, work orders, and workplace safety procedures.
✅ Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience operating an edge-banding machine is required.
- 3–5 years of experience in furniture manufacturing, cabinetry, or woodworking is preferred.
- Experience with IMA Novimat Concept machinery is a strong asset.
- Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to interpret production drawings and measurements.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs.
