🚨 NOW HIRING – SPRAY PAINTER / SANDER | FURNITURE MANUFACTURING
📍 Location: Scarborough, ON (Finch Ave E & Tapscott Rd)
💰 Pay Rate: $20.00–$25.00/hour (Based on Experience)
📅 Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site
⏰ Work Schedule:
- Monday–Thursday: 7:25 AM – 4:25 PM
- Friday: 7:25 AM – 1:25 PM
We are currently looking for an experienced Spray Painter / Sander to join a furniture manufacturing facility in Scarborough.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in wood surface preparation, spray painting, sanding, and furniture finishing, with a strong understanding of finishing materials, application techniques, and quality standards.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, sand, and smooth wooden surfaces and furniture components before finishing.
- Operate orbital sanders, palm sanders, and other power sanding equipment.
- Apply paints, stains, primers, lacquers, and clear coats using HVLP spray guns.
- Mix and prepare finishing materials according to production specifications.
- Perform sanding and touch-ups between coats to achieve smooth, consistent finishes.
- Inspect finished surfaces and correct imperfections such as scratches, runs, uneven coverage, and other defects.
- Maintain finishing equipment and follow workplace safety procedures.
✅ Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on spray painting and sanding experience required.
- Previous experience in furniture manufacturing, cabinetry, woodworking, or millwork.
- Strong proficiency with HVLP spray equipment and power sanding tools.
- Knowledge of wood finishing products, including stains, lacquers, primers, and clear coats.
- Ability to produce high-quality finishes with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
