Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Set clear objectives, priorities, and performance expectations aligned with business goals.
- Promote strong quality assurance and data governance practices across the team's analytical work and deliverables.
- Deliver high-impact analytics, reporting, dashboards, and data-driven recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
- Translate complex business challenges into analytical solutions that drive measurable results.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve business performance and customer outcomes.
- Develop and deliver executive-ready PowerPoint presentations that clearly communicate complex analytics, business insights, and strategic recommendations.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders across Retail, Wealth, Risk, Finance, and other key functions.
- Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs, success measures, and actionable strategies.
- Communicate insights through compelling data storytelling and executive-level presentations.
- Champion data governance, data quality, quality assurance, and compliance with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.
- Establish and maintain quality assurance practices to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of analytics, dashboards, reporting, and business insights.
- Collaborate with Technology, Data Governance, and Engineering teams to enhance data accessibility and analytics capabilities.
- Drive innovation through advanced analytics, automation, predictive modeling, and emerging technologies.
- Improve and scale analytics processes, tools, and reporting solutions.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality delivery of analytical insights and business intelligence.
- Advanced SQL and data querying expertise.
- Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
- Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills, including the ability to develop polished, executive-level presentations and translate complex data into clear business narratives.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, and quality assurance principles and practices.
- Experience with Python, R, or other analytical programming languages.
- Knowledge of modern data platforms and cloud-based analytics environments.
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis, forecasting, and predictive modeling.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
- Master's degree (MBA, MSc, or equivalent) is an asset.
- 5+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
- 2+ years of people leadership or demonstrated experience leading analytical initiatives.
- Financial services or banking experience is preferred.
- This role may be based in either Toronto or Ottawa, Ontario.
