Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.

As an Architect, you will be at the forefront of shaping the digital employee experience. Your mission is to architect and deliver scalable, secure, and forward-thinking solutions that empower our global workforce. By aligning technology with business strategy, you’ll drive innovation, elevate service delivery, and help us stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Join Global HR Technology - a passionate, collaborative, and forward-thinking team that powers the people experience at Scotiabank. We design and deliver the tools that attract, engage, and support our global talent. Our culture thrives on innovation, continuous learning, and inclusion. We believe in empowering our people, celebrating diverse perspectives, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

This is more than a technical role - it's a strategic opportunity to influence how technology shapes the future of work. You’ll partner with senior leaders, product managers, and engineering teams to define and implement solutions. You’ll lead by example, mentor future architects, and champion best practices that drive agility, resilience, and excellence across the enterprise.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

Architect the Future: Define and evolve the application architecture roadmap and strategy for HR technology, aligning with business goals and emerging trends.
Lead with Vision: Provide technical leadership and governance across development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and operational excellence.
Design for Impact: Create scalable, cloud-native solutions - primarily on new technologies - that enhance performance, security, and user experience.
Collaborate & Influence: Engage with stakeholders to translate business needs into secure, compliant, and innovative technical solutions.
Mentor & Inspire: Guide and develop architects and engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

7+ years of experience in solution architecture and technology strategy, with a strong focus on enterprise platforms.
7+ years of experience delivery of new technology solutions. Expertise in Scotiabank EDF and leadership experience leading large project teams and engaging and influencing multiple business line sponsors
Deep expertise in data architecture, data modeling, regulatory reporting, cloud technologies (e.g., GCP, Azure), and modern integration patterns.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and fluency in modern programming concepts, with hands-on experience in programming such as Java and Python.
Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, influencing and cross-functional collaboration skills
A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and/or work experience.

What's in it for you?

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Allyship - We strive to create an inclusive culture where every employee is empowered to reach their fullest potential, respected for who they are, and are embraced through bias-free practices and inclusive values across Scotiabank.
