The Role

The Manager, Analytics & BI supports Loyalty Analytics across Canadian Banking, with a focus on using loyalty data, reward assets, and partner insights to drive customer growth, engagement, primacy, and deeper client relationships. The incumbent will conduct analysis, generate actionable insights, and make fact-based recommendations on how Scene+ loyalty currency, existing reward propositions, and strategic partnerships such as Scene+, Empire, Shell, Home Hardware and other ecosystem partners can be leveraged to improve acquisition, product engagement, spend behaviour, retention, and customer value. This role partners closely with Finance, Product, Risk, Marketing, Loyalty & Partnerships, Scene+, and data/technology teams to translate loyalty behaviours into measurable business outcomes, scalable reporting, and practical strategies that support responsible growth.

Is this role right for you? - In this role you will:

Loyalty Performance, Customer Behaviour & Insight-Led Recommendations

- Lead analyses on loyalty customer behaviour, including Scene+ engagement, earn and burn activity, redemption patterns, product engagement, customer value, and lifecycle behaviours.
- Develop insights and recommendations on how loyalty rewards, offers, and partner propositions can be used to drive product acquisition, cross-sell, retention, primacy, and deeper customer relationships.
- Assess how loyalty currency is used by customers and how reward behaviours influence banking engagement, product usage, spend concentration, and customer growth.
- Identify growth opportunities across loyalty segments, including customers highly engaged with Scene+ but under-engaged with Scotiabank products, and customers with Scotiabank products who are not fully participating in the loyalty ecosystem.
- Conduct partner and campaign performance analysis to understand acquisition quality, spend lift, share-of-wallet impact, product uptake, customer engagement, and incremental value from loyalty-led initiatives.
- Translate loyalty trends, customer behaviours, and performance drivers into clear business recommendations for senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
- Support test-and-learn measurement, segmentation analysis, targeting recommendations, and opportunity sizing to improve loyalty strategy, campaign effectiveness, and customer experience.

2. Reporting, Partnership Performance & Measurement

- Support internal and external loyalty reporting, including recurring partner reporting, quarterly business reviews, executive updates, contractual reporting, points attestation, and performance scorecards.
- Monitor loyalty KPIs such as active members, Scene+ engagement, earn and burn behaviour, redemption rate, time to first earn, product penetration, acquisition, cross-sell, retention, primacy, spend lift, and rewards economics.
- Track spend shift and customer growth generated through loyalty partnerships, including partner-sourced acquisition, customer activation, spend diversification, purchase frequency, and downstream product engagement.
- Build and enhance scalable dashboards, KPI frameworks, and standardized reporting views to provide a consistent source of truth for loyalty decision-making and partner performance management.
- Partner with Finance and business teams to assess loyalty economics, incremental revenue, customer lifetime value, reward cost efficiency, and the financial implications of loyalty strategies.
- Work with Marketing, Product, Risk, and technology partners to improve attribution, funnel measurement, audience quality tracking, and end-to-end performance visibility across loyalty campaigns and partner channels.
- Identify data quality, tagging, methodology, or process gaps that may affect reporting accuracy, auditability, or timely decision-making, and recommend practical remediation actions.

3. Stakeholder Partnership, Governance & Controls

- Partner closely with Finance, Product, Risk, Marketing, Loyalty & Partnerships, business, Scene+, and data/technology teams to align on priorities, requirements, performance measures, and action plans.
- Champion a customer-focused culture by using loyalty insights to deepen customer relationships, improve customer experience, and support responsible business growth.
- Support clear ways of working, intake discipline, documentation, and governance to improve prioritization, reduce rework, and strengthen transparency with business partners.
- Ensure business decisions and analytical recommendations consider the Bank’s risk appetite, privacy expectations, policies, and control requirements.
- Maintain appropriate documentation, validation, and evidence for recurring reporting, contractual obligations, stakeholder sign-offs, and audit-related requests.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Statistics, or related field. MBA, CFA, FRM, or Master’s in Analytics preferred.
4+ years of experience in Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Loyalty Analytics, Finance, Product Analytics, or related fields, with strong analytical, statistical, and business problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of loyalty programs, rewards economics, customer engagement, partner performance measurement, campaign analytics, and customer lifecycle management.
Experience working with large-scale customer-level, account-level, transaction-level, campaign, loyalty, and financial performance data to support business recommendations and reporting.
Proficiency with analytical tools and technologies, including GCP/Big Data environments, Databricks, Python, R, SAS, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and Excel.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into concise insights, recommendations, executive-ready narratives, and practical action plans.
Experience building dashboards, KPI frameworks, recurring reporting processes, performance scorecards, and measurement approaches for senior stakeholders and external partners.
Working knowledge of Scotiabank banking products, including credit cards, debit products, unsecured lending, payments, and customer primacy measures, is an asset.
Demonstrated ownership mindset, structured problem-solving approach, attention to control and auditability, and motivation to continuously improve reporting and analytical processes.
Strong communication, prioritization, presentation, project management, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.

Working Conditions:

Work in a standard office-based environment; occasional non standard hours may be required to meet business or reporting deadlines. Limited travel domestically.
