We are seeking a Release Manager to plan, coordinate, govern, and oversee software and infrastructure releases across enterprise Identity and Access Management platforms and services. This role ensures that changes are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with enterprise standards while minimizing operational risk and business disruption.

You will serve as the central coordination point across Engineering, Operations, Architecture, Quality Assurance, Project Delivery, Application Support, Change Management, and third-party vendors for new capabilities, software currency work, remediation activities, and production deployments.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

Release Planning & Coordination

  • Own and maintain the integrated release calendar across IAM platforms and services.
  • Plan and coordinate production, maintenance, hotfix, emergency, and software currency releases.
  • Facilitate release readiness reviews and Go/No-Go decision meetings.
  • Identify and manage cross-team dependencies, scheduling conflicts, delivery constraints, and implementation sequencing.
  • Coordinate deployment activities across technology teams, project teams, service owners, and vendors.

Change & Production Governance

  • Ensure releases align with enterprise Change Management standards and required approvals.
  • Validate change records, implementation plans, rollback procedures, testing evidence, risk mitigations, schedules, and approvals.
  • Coordinate Change Advisory Board (CAB) and release governance activities where required.
  • Monitor production changes for adherence to release processes, controls, and documentation expectations.
  • Support timely closure of release-related audit, risk, and compliance findings.

Jira & Delivery Management

  • Govern consistent use of Jira releases, epics, stories, and work-tracking standards.
  • Ensure release scope, ownership, dependencies, status, and outcomes are accurate and traceable.
  • Provide transparent reporting for planned, in-flight, completed, delayed, and failed releases.
  • Partner with delivery leads to improve backlog readiness and release forecasting.

Quality, Risk & Operational Readiness

  • Coordinate testing activities with QA, engineering, security, and application teams.
  • Verify that release readiness criteria and the agreed Definition of Done are met.
  • Confirm completion of regression, integration, security, performance, and operational validation as applicable.
  • Ensure rollback, recovery, contingency, monitoring, support coverage, and communication plans are documented and executable.
  • Identify release risks and service-impact concerns, assign mitigation actions, and escalate material issues.
  • Facilitate post-implementation reviews for failed, unauthorized, or high-risk changes and track corrective actions.

Continuous Improvement

  • Define and continuously improve release management processes, standards, templates, and procedures.
  • Promote deployment automation, CI/CD controls, and repeatable release practices where appropriate.
  • Develop release KPIs, dashboards, and trend reporting to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Improve release predictability, schedule adherence, deployment quality, traceability, and cycle time.
  • Have five or more years of experience in Release Management, Change Management, Project Delivery, DevOps, or IT Operations.
  • Have experience coordinating complex releases across multiple applications, platforms, teams, or vendors.
  • Have experience supporting enterprise production environments and regulated change controls.
  • Have working knowledge of Jira, Agile delivery practices, SDLC, DevOps, ITIL Change and Release Management, CI/CD concepts, incident management, and production support.
