Purpose

The Senior Manager, Communications & Change Management leads strategic communications in support of Enterprise Delivery Office (EDO) priorities across the Technology organization. Reporting to the Director, Change & Enablement, the role is responsible for developing and executing integrated communication and engagement strategies that enable leaders and employees to understand, align to, and adopt key enterprise initiatives.

The role is accountable for translating complex delivery, transformation, and organizational priorities into clear, compelling, and audience-specific communications and campaigns. It emphasizes communication strategy, executive and leadership messaging, stakeholder engagement, channel planning, and content governance, while partnering closely with dedicated change management resources on readiness, adoption, training, and sustainment activities.

The incumbent drives awareness, understanding, alignment, and engagement for initiatives with broad organizational impact. Success in the role is measured through communication effectiveness, stakeholder alignment, message consistency, leadership readiness, and the extent to which communications support confidence, adoption, and business outcomes.

Is this role right for you? In this role the successful candidate:

Leads the development and execution of strategic communication plans for EDO programs and enterprise initiatives, including audience segmentation, key messages, channel strategy, timing, and leadership communications.
Translates complex delivery and transformation priorities into clear, compelling, and audience-appropriate narratives for executives, leaders, and employees.
Provides strategic counsel to senior leaders on communication approach, message framing, executive storytelling, and engagement strategies to strengthen alignment and confidence during change.
Develops high-quality communication materials, including executive messages, presentations, speaking notes, intranet content, announcements, FAQs, and engagement assets.
Establishes communication governance and ensures consistency of tone, messaging, branding, and alignment to enterprise priorities across assigned initiatives.
Partners with delivery leads to align communications with change strategies, readiness needs, training activities, and adoption objectives, while maintaining clear accountability for communications as a distinct discipline.
Designs stakeholder engagement approaches that improve understanding, strengthen visibility of priorities, and support effective two-way communication.
Measures communication effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative insights and continuously refines messaging and channel strategies to improve reach, resonance, and action.
Contributes to the EDO brand and internal reputation through consistent storytelling, strong editorial standards, and coordinated communications.
Builds strong relationships across a diverse stakeholder landscape, anticipates communication risks, and proactively identifies opportunities to improve engagement.
Creates an environment that supports effective and efficient operations within the area of accountability and ensures day-to-day business controls are in place and operating effectively to meet obligations related to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk, including responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook, and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Deep expertise in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and message design within a complex business and technology environment.
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling capabilities, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear, compelling communications.
Demonstrated experience developing integrated communication strategies across multiple channels and stakeholder groups.
Strong capability in advising senior leaders on executive messaging, presentation content, speaking points, and communication approach.
Sound understanding of organizational change principles and the role of communications in supporting readiness, adoption, and sustainment.
Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a complex, matrixed environment.
Excellent verbal communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to build alignment and credibility at all levels of the organization.
Strong planning, prioritization, and delivery management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ability to communicate large-scale, enterprise-wide initiatives across diverse audiences with consistency and impact.
Strong judgment, editorial discipline, and attention to detail in the development and review of executive-ready content.
Experience measuring communication effectiveness and using insights to strengthen engagement outcomes.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

8+ years of experience in strategic communications, executive communications, employee communications, or communications and engagement roles, ideally supporting enterprise transformation, delivery, or technology initiatives.
Experience partnering with change management teams and supporting enterprise change through integrated communications is strongly preferred.
Post-secondary education in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, Organizational Change, or a related discipline. PMP, Prosci, MBA, or equivalent credentials are considered an asset.
