The Role:

Contributes to the overall success of the Canadian Banking Analytics, Personalization & Innovation team by shaping and delivering enterprise decisioning and orchestration capabilities that support client engagement, business growth, and long-term platform modernization.

The Senior Product Owner, Decisioning & Orchestration leads the product direction for next-best-action, multi-layer decisioning, and orchestration capabilities that enable relevant, timely, and connected client experiences across marketing, digital, and assisted channels.

This role is accountable for leading modernization and transformation workstreams, translating business priorities into a clear capability roadmap, delivery outcomes, adoption plans, and target operating model required to scale one-to-one client engagement across the enterprise.

Working in close partnership with Marketing, Digital, Analytics, Technology, Operations, and Channel teams, the role ensures decisioning and orchestration capabilities are designed, implemented, adopted, governed, and measured against client and business outcomes.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

Strategy & Product Management

Define the strategy and roadmap for decisioning, orchestration, and next-best-action (NBA) capabilities aligned to enterprise personalization goals, client engagement objectives, and modernization priorities.
Own prioritization and product outcomes, balancing long-term platform evolution against ongoing business demand and informing investment decisions.
Define product requirements, capability standards, and reusable decisioning services that scale across channels and business lines.
Maintain the product backlog and translate business objectives into clear product requirements, epics, features, and user stories in partnership with Business, Channels, Marketing, Digital,
Analytics, and Technology teams.
Anticipate market and vendor direction to inform platform strategy, roadmap decisions, and future capability investments.

Delivery & Execution

Lead an agile, cross-functional delivery model across Engineering, Architecture, Data, Analytics, and vendor partners.
Define delivery artifacts, including epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, decision configuration requirements, arbitration rules, integration specifications, and channel enablement activities.
Manage release planning, dependencies, risks, and delivery trade-offs to execute against committed roadmap milestones.
Balance delivery of modernization milestones with ongoing business demand, ensuring committed business outcomes and platform stability are maintained throughout the transformation.
Ensure quality and production stability through testing, validation of decision outcomes, issue resolution, and operational oversight.

Modernization & Transformation

Lead the modernization of decisioning and orchestration capabilities, including migration from the current-state platform to the target-state architecture.
Transform how decisioning capabilities are integrated and activated across digital, contact centre, branch, and outbound channels, including required channel integrations, APIs, and supporting data enablement.
Evolve the client data foundation, decision inputs, eligibility logic, propensity models, and supporting data architecture required to support the future-state platform.
Modernize campaign, treatment, and always-on engagement design, including governance, measurement, and decisioning processes.
Partner with Enablement, Marketing, Analytics, Technology, and Channel stakeholders to define and implement the target operating model, including governance, ownership, and delivery processes, and change management required to scale enterprise adoption.
Lead migration planning, execution, cutover activities, and transition from current-state to target-state capabilities.

Value Realization & Measurement

Define outcome metrics and success measures tied to client engagement, experience quality, operational efficiency, capability adoption, and revenue impact.
Track platform adoption, business outcomes, and benefit realization, demonstrating value delivered against approved investment objectives.
Use performance insights and business results to prioritize future investment, refine roadmap priorities, and retire low-value capabilities.
Support business case development and funding recommendations for ongoing modernization and capability expansion.

Stakeholder Management

Build alignment across execution, business owners, executives, and technology leaders on priorities, delivery sequencing, investment decisions, and implementation trade-offs.
Partner with Marketing, Analytics, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Privacy, and Channel stakeholders to enable adoption of decisioning and orchestration capabilities across the enterprise.
Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, outcomes, and recommendations to senior leadership and governance forums.
Build strong working relationships with business, technology, and vendor partners to drive execution and modernization outcomes.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

8+ years of experience in product management, personalization, MarTech, decisioning, digital delivery, or client engagement roles.
3+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise decisioning, next-best-action, orchestration, or personalization platforms such as Pega Customer Decision Hub, Adobe Journey Optimizer, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization, or similar technologies.
Strong understanding of customer data foundations, decisioning logic, eligibility frameworks, propensity models, real-time decisioning, and omnichannel activation.
Proven experience delivering large-scale platform modernization initiatives, including technology migration, architecture evolution, vendor implementation, and enterprise integration.
Demonstrated success driving organizational adoption of new capabilities through stakeholder alignment, operating model evolution, governance design, and business process changes.
Experience defining product roadmaps, business cases, investment strategies, and measurable business outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams across Business, Marketing, Analytics, Technology, and vendor partners.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and translate between business and technical audiences.
Experience in financial services or another regulated industry is an asset.
