We are currently hiring Full Time Personal Support Workers (PSW) for Community Care in Hamilton and surrounding areas

Shift: Overnight 11pm - 7am

SE Health is a participating employer of the Health Force Ontario (HFO) PSW, Return of Service (ROS): $10,000 funding for eligible PSW graduates in exchange for a 12-month commitment to work full-time.

Qualifications Accepted To Work As a PSW

Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
RN or RPN
Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)
Valid Developmental Support Worker Diploma
Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse

Requirements

A valid driver’s license and vehicle to use for work daily is required
Meet Immunization requirements – MMR, Varicella, TB, and Tetanus
Current vulnerable sector check (VSC)
Current Standard CPR level C certificate
Availability to work 11:00pm-7:00am every other Saturday and Sunday
This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement

Responsibilities

Provide personal support and community care to clients in Hamilton and surrounding areas during overnight shifts. Travel between clients and perform physically demanding care-related tasks, including lifting, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, and reaching.

Requirements

Applicants must hold an accepted PSW-related qualification, such as a PSW certificate, nursing credentials or student experience, a Developmental Support Worker diploma, or foreign-trained nursing credentials. Requirements also include a valid driver's license and vehicle, specified immunizations, a current vulnerable sector check, Standard CPR Level C, and availability for overnight shifts every other Saturday and Sunday.
