We are currently hiring Part Time Personal Support Workers (PSW) for Community Care in Hamilton and surrounding areas

Qualifications Accepted To Work As a PSW

Valid Certificate as a Personal Support Worker (PSW)
RN or RPN
Nursing student (2 clinical placements completed)
Valid Developmental Support Worker Diploma
Foreign trained healthcare professional - Nurse

Requirements

A valid driver’s license and vehicle to use for work daily is required
Meet Immunization requirements – MMR, Varicella, TB, and Tetanus
Current vulnerable sector check (VSC)
Current Standard CPR level C certificate
Availability to work 11:00pm-7:00am every other Saturday and Sunday
This is a physically demanding position and requires hand, arm and shoulder dexterity, sensory ability, lifting to a maximum of approximately fifty-five (55) pounds, walking, climbing stairs, standing, bending, reaching, and frequent movement

Responsibilities

Provide personal support and care to clients in the community in Hamilton and surrounding areas. Travel between client locations and deliver care while meeting clients’ needs and supporting their health and well-being.

Requirements

Applicants must have an accepted PSW-related qualification, such as a PSW certificate, RN or RPN qualification, nursing studies with two clinical placements completed, a Developmental Support Worker diploma, or foreign-trained nursing credentials. A valid driver’s license and vehicle, required immunizations, a current vulnerable sector check, Standard CPR Level C, and availability for overnight shifts every other Saturday and Sunday are required; the role also involves physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to approximately 55 pounds.
