The Supervisor, Quality Assurance & Service Delivery leads quality assurance, service delivery, and operational readiness for enterprise applications. The role ensures that work is planned, tracked, tested, released, and transitioned into support using consistent practices in Azure DevOps. Working closely with business stakeholders, product and project teams, vendors, and technical delivery teams, the supervisor establishes clear priorities, delivery plans, quality measures, and service expectations. The focus is on predictable outcomes, strong stakeholder communication, effective risk and issue management, continuous improvement.
Note: This position qualifies for an optional hybrid work schedule after 90 days of onsite work and onboarding. Employee will be subject to the terms of the Flexible Work Policy Agreement.
What you'll do
- Lead and coach a team responsible for quality assurance, test coordination, release readiness, and application service delivery, creating a collaborative and accountable work environment.
- Own and continuously improve the Azure DevOps ways of working used to plan and govern delivery, including backlogs, work items, sprint or release plans, test plans, defects, dashboards, risks, dependencies, and delivery reporting.
- Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, vendors, and delivery teams to define priorities, acceptance criteria, service expectations, and measurable outcomes.
- Develop and oversee risk-based test strategies and plans covering functional, integration, regression, user acceptance, and operational readiness testing.
- Coordinate test resources, environments, data, schedules, entry and exit criteria, defect triage, and test completion reporting to support informed release decisions.
- Establish and report meaningful quality and service delivery measures, such as test progress, defect trends, release readiness, delivery predictability, service performance, and recurring issues.
- Lead delivery planning and execution for assigned initiatives, maintaining clear scope, milestones, schedules, forecasts, RAID items, dependencies, decisions, and stakeholder communications.
- Facilitate delivery and service management forums, including planning sessions, status reviews, defect triage, release readiness reviews, retrospectives, and operational handover meetings.
- Coordinate production releases and transitions into operations, ensuring support documentation, knowledge transfer, communications, training, monitoring, and support ownership are in place.
- Oversee application service performance and issue management, ensuring incidents and recurring problems are prioritized, communicated, investigated, and followed through to sustainable resolution.
- Manage vendor deliverables and service commitments, escalating delivery or quality concerns and ensuring corrective actions are completed.
- Champion practical process improvements that strengthen quality, transparency, delivery consistency, customer experience, and operational reliability.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree or post-secondary diploma in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in quality assurance, application delivery, project delivery, or a related enterprise technology environment.
- At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity, including coaching, work planning, performance support, and resource coordination.
- Demonstrated experience using Azure DevOps to manage backlogs, work items, test plans, defects, dashboards, delivery status, and release readiness.
- Experience applying QA methodologies, risk-based testing, test planning, defect management, user acceptance testing, and test completion reporting.
- Practical project management experience managing scope, schedule, milestones, budget or forecasts, risks, issues, dependencies, changes, and stakeholder communications.
- Experience coordinating application releases, operational handovers, service support, incident follow-up, and continuous improvement activities.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors in an enterprise environment.
- Project management certification such as PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2, or equivalent is an asset. ITIL, Agile, Scrum, or quality assurance certification is also an asset.
- People leadership, coaching, delegation, and the ability to build a safe, inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing team.
- Strong project management, planning, organization, prioritization, facilitation, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to translate business priorities into clear delivery plans, quality criteria, service expectations, and actionable work in Azure DevOps.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance, application lifecycle management, release readiness, and service delivery practices.
- Effective risk, issue, dependency, change, and vendor management, with sound judgment and timely escalation.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including concise status reporting and the ability to tailor information for operational and executive audiences.
- Strong stakeholder and customer-service orientation, with a focus on measurable business value, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Working knowledge of enterprise applications, integrations, cloud services, and data concepts sufficient to coordinate delivery and make informed decisions. Hands-on programming expertise is not required.

The estimated salary for this position is $112,500 - $137,500. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate’s skills and experience as well as position location and internal equity. The final base salary offer will be at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
