Securiguard is looking for motivated and safety-minded individuals to join our team as
Equipment Operators in a casual, on-call capacity at a high-profile industrial client site in
Kitimat, BC during the fall and winter season.
This is a hands-on role that requires individuals to be comfortable
operating heavy equipment as well as performing manual snow clearing and general labour duties as required.
Hours: Casual on-call, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Wage: $75.06/hour*
- Blended hourly rate including applicable overtime and vacation/benefit pay in lieu.
Important Requirements
- Must live in Kitimat or the surrounding area and be able to reliably report to site as required
- No paid travel time is provided for travel to or from the client site
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence
- Current driver's abstract required
- Must be available to work on an on-call basis, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Camp accommodation is not provided
Who Are We Looking For?
We are seeking experienced Equipment Operators who are committed to working safely and efficiently in challenging winter conditions. Successful candidates will be comfortable operating equipment such as
snowplows, loaders, and excavators, while also performing manual snow clearing and other physical labour as required.
What You Bring
- Experience operating heavy equipment, including snowplows, loaders, and/or excavators
- Experience with manual snow clearing and physical labour
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices
- Ability to work safely in all weather conditions
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and problem-solve under pressure
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Physical ability to perform manual snow clearing and labour-intensive duties
