What You'll Do
- Conduct undercover surveillance to identify theft and high-risk activity
- Monitor behavioural patterns and support loss prevention strategies
- Perform lawful apprehensions when required, in accordance with company policy and training
- Complete detailed and accurate incident reports
- Work collaboratively with store teams and fellow security professionals
- Maintain awareness across multiple locations as operationally required
- Manage high-pressure situations with professionalism and sound judgment
- Work in a specialized undercover environment, not a static guard position
- Build hands-on experience in surveillance, investigations, and case development
- Exposure to multi-site operations and diverse retail environments
- Opportunity to develop skills applicable to advanced security and investigative roles
- Be part of a team that plays a direct role in protecting assets and reducing loss
- Valid BC Security Worker License and Advanced Security Training (AST)
- Minimum 2 years of security experience (retail or mall environment preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of undercover loss prevention experience is an asset
- Occupational First Aid Level 1 (OFA 1) or equivalent is an asset
- Strong observation, communication, and report-writing skills
- Ability to remain composed and professional in high-pressure situations
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel between locations as needed
- Basic knowledge of applicable legislation (Criminal Code, Charter, Trespass Act) is an asset

Responsibilities
Conduct undercover surveillance across retail locations to identify theft and high-risk activity, support loss prevention strategies, and carry out lawful apprehensions when required. Prepare accurate incident reports, coordinate with store teams and security colleagues, and manage high-pressure situations professionally.
Requirements
Applicants must hold a valid BC Security Worker License and Advanced Security Training (AST), and have at least two years of security experience. Undercover loss prevention experience, OFA Level 1 or equivalent, knowledge of relevant legislation, strong observation and communication skills, and flexibility to travel between locations are also sought or considered assets.
