Salary: $21.81 per hour
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Security Guards to join our team in Ottawa. As a Security Guard, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their assets. If you have a background in security and a commitment to providing exceptional service, we want to hear from you.
The Day-to-Day
- Provide a visual presence and monitor premises to ensure the safety of personnel and property.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, taking appropriate action.
- Perform access control, checking credentials and ensuring only authorized individuals enter the premises.
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting clients and visitors when needed.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents and activities.
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License and First Aid/CPR
- Valid Driver's License (whether G1/G2/G)
- At least 6 months/one year of experience as a Security Guard.
- PSI/Police Foundation is an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
- Ability to commute and a vehicle is an asset
- Able to stand for extended periods.
- Demonstration of our company's REACH values (Respect, Empathy, Accountability, Courtesy & Honesty)

Responsibilities
Monitor premises to protect people and property, respond to alarms and incidents, and control access by verifying credentials. Assist clients and visitors, and complete accurate reports on incidents and activities.
Requirements
Applicants must have a valid Ontario Security Guard License, First Aid/CPR, a valid driver's license, and at least six months to one year of security guard experience. Strong communication, observation, customer service, and emergency response skills are required; PSI or Police Foundations education and access to a vehicle are assets.
