- Help establish daily priorities and keep the team focused on cash collection, delinquency, aging, and productivity targets.
- Monitor overdue accounts and ensure consistent and timely follow-up.
- Support team members with challenging customer situations and provide practical guidance on resolution.
- Handle more complex or escalated customer accounts and inquiries.
- Work directly with customers to resolve outstanding balances and establish appropriate payment arrangements.

- Partner with Customer Service, Billing, Finance, and Operations to resolve billing disputes and account issues.
- Monitor collection activity and team KPIs to identify areas requiring additional focus.
- Promote consistent collection practices, appropriate documentation, and strong follow-through.
- Identify opportunities to improve collection processes, productivity, and the overall customer experience.
- Contribute to an environment of accountability, urgency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- 3+ years of collections, accounts receivable, credit, or related experience, ideally supporting residential, consumer, or small commercial customers.
- Strong hands-on collections experience with the ability and willingness to maintain responsibility for your own customer accounts.
- Previous experience coaching, mentoring, training, or supporting colleagues is an asset; formal people-management experience is not required.
- A genuine interest in developing your skills and progressing into people leadership.
- Strong understanding of collections, delinquency management, payment arrangements, and customer account resolution.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- A customer-focused approach combined with the confidence to manage difficult collection conversations.
- Strong sense of urgency, ownership, and follow-through.
- Ability to organize and prioritize a high volume of activity in a fast-paced environment.
