- Manage employee leave, accommodation, and return-to-work processes with managers and relevant specialists.
Performance Management & Training
- Maintain the performance management process, forms, and guidance; coordinate mid-year and annual review cycles and track completion and quality. Department managers remain accountable for completing reviews and managing employee performance.
- Coach supervisors and managers on employee conversations and performance issues; coordinate review calibration sessions and track agreed development and improvement actions with the responsible managers.
- Work with department leaders to identify training needs, coordinate annual manager training with external providers as appropriate, and maintain training completion records.
- Support the CEO’s succession planning by maintaining information on key roles, employee development needs, and agreed actions.

- Regularly review HR policies, forms, and practices against applicable employment requirements and internal standards; coordinate updates and seek specialist advice as needed.
Team Leadership & Office Administration
- Supervise the HR Coordinator and office administration staff, setting priorities, balancing workloads, and providing coaching and performance feedback.
- Oversee office administration to ensure reliable office support and coordination of routine office services and supplies according to agreed priorities.
- Delegate routine recruitment coordination, onboarding administration, employee records, and reporting support to the HR Coordinator; maintain clear responsibilities, procedures, and coverage arrangements across the team.
- Monitor spending within approved HR and office administration budgets and recommend improvements to service and efficiency.

- Coordinate the annual employee engagement survey, encourage participation, and work with managers on practical action plans to address feedback and retention concerns.
- Hold regular HR planning and manager meetings to strengthen communication, accountability, and follow-through on the approved HR business plan.
- Partner with Operations and those responsible for safety on employee orientation, training records, and return-to-work coordination.
