Position Overview We are currently seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to work on construction and maintenance projects in commercial and industrial environments.
The selected candidate will play a key role in the fabrication, installation, and repair of ventilation systems, ductwork, and sheet metal components, while ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities 1. Fabrication & Installation
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings
- Fabricate, assemble, and install HVAC ductwork and sheet metal components
- Install ventilation, air conditioning, and heating systems
- Adjust, secure, and seal duct systems according to standards
2. Maintenance & Repairs
- Diagnose issues related to ventilation systems
- Perform necessary repairs and modifications
- Carry out preventive maintenance on installations
3. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and quality standards
- Follow health and safety procedures on job sites
- Verify system performance and proper sealing of installations
4. Collaboration
- Work closely with site teams and other trades
- Communicate effectively with project managers and supervisors
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or recognized training in sheet metal work
- Valid trade certification (CCQ – strong asset)
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial and/or industrial construction
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Knowledge of HVAC systems
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Autonomous, organized, and reliable
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Valid driver’s license (required)
