Role Overview
As a
Technical Expert, you will serve as an enterprise technical authority on aircraft structural design - leading design strategy, resolving complex integration challenges, and mentoring engineering teams. Your scope spans configuration, 3D modeling, production, certification, and in-service support.
Key Responsibilities
- Structural Design: Develop and review 3D models, assemblies, metallic/composite parts, joints, GD&T, and installation drawings.
- Integration & Governance: Coordinate across disciplines (stress, systems, manufacturing, quality) to resolve geometric conflicts and lead trade studies.
- Certification & Support: Drive root-cause analysis, supplier/production engineering changes, and PLM configuration control.
- Technical Leadership: Guide design architecture, mitigate technical risks, and define organizational standards.
What You Bring
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s in Aerospace, Mechanical, or relevant Engineering discipline + 15+ years in aerospace structural design.
- Tools: Proficiency in CATIA V5, ENOVIA, and PLM workflows; knowledge of NX and Teamcenter is an asset.
- Technical Skills: Deep expertise in metallic/composite design, GD&T, aerospace materials, certification standards, and producibility.
- Languages: English (fluent required); French is an asset.
