The role contributes directly to trusted enterprise reporting, self-service analytics and the delivery of measurable business value from data.

What You Will Do:

  • Create reusable, parameterized and supportable ingestion and transformation processes using SQL, notebooks, Dataflows Gen2 and pipelines as appropriate.
  • Ensure solutions meet requirements for performance, scalability, reliability, supportability and security.

Analytics & Business Intelligence

  • Design and maintain enterprise semantic models aligned with approved business definitions, security standards and performance expectations.
  • Develop clear, accessible and performant Power BI reports, dashboards and analytical experiences.
  • Create and optimize DAX measures, relationships, calculation logic, row-level security and refresh processes.
  • Support governed self-service analytics through reusable data products and curated semantic models.

AI, Automation & Innovation

  • Develop and support approved AI-enabled and agentic solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Copilot Studio, Power Platform and related Microsoft services.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and adoption of emerging Microsoft data, analytics and AI capabilities that support business objectives.

Legacy Platform Support

  • Maintain and enhance business-critical SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS and related data warehouse solutions.
  • Support modernization efforts that transition legacy solutions to Microsoft Fabric while maintaining operational continuity.

Collaboration & Governance

  • Work with the Data Platform Lead, business analysts, application teams, project resources and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Follow data architecture, governance, security, privacy, development, testing and release standards.
  • Document pipelines, transformations, data models, business rules, operational procedures and architectural decisions.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Programming, Data Analytics or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in business intelligence, data engineering, analytics engineering or a related technical role.
  • Hands-on experience developing production data pipelines, data models and reporting solutions.
