The ideal candidate is fluent in Japanese and English, enjoys connecting with older adults, and understands the importance of meaningful conversation, companionship, and culturally appropriate support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care support (bathing, dressing, toileting)
Engage clients in activities that are meaningful and enjoyable to them.
- Assist with light meal preparation and household tasks as needed.
Observe and report changes in a client's physical, cognitive, or emotional well-being.
Maintain a respectful, professional, and compassionate relationship with clients and their families.
Support clients in maintaining their independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Qualifications
Fluent in spoken Japanese and English.
Previous experience working with seniors is an asset.
Caregiving, HCA, PSW or similar experience is an asset.
Patient, compassionate, reliable, and personable.
Comfortable working independently in a client's home.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid criminal record check and TB test

Responsibilities
Provide personal care, companionship, and culturally appropriate support to seniors in their homes and communities, including conversation in Japanese and English and assistance with activities, meals, household tasks, and daily routines. Monitor and report changes in clients’ well-being while supporting their independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Requirements
Fluency in spoken Japanese and English is required, along with a patient, compassionate, reliable, and personable approach and comfort working independently in a client’s home. Senior-care or caregiving experience is an asset; a valid criminal record check, TB test, and First Aid certification are also listed.
