As a Project Associate, you’ll play a vital part in delivering outstanding service and solutions to our clients. General Responsibilities:

- Marketing: Represent Sense Engineering professionally, building positive relationships with clients, contractors and other consultants.
- Knowledge Development: Enhance your technical expertise and stay current on industry trends and best practices.
Technical Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze structures or building structural components for new construction, renovation and restoration projects.
- Perform site reviews for structural investigations and condition evaluation, and analysis for structural assessment of existing structures.
- Conduct field reviews and prepare field review reports for structural projects during construction.
- Prepare detailed analysis/design notes, engineering drawings and specifications, and structural assessment reports.
- Assist with preparation of project proposals.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and consultants to support clear communication and efficient, timely project delivery.
- Represent Sense at client meetings and other networking functions with a commitment to exceptional service standards.
- Other duties as assigned/required.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Minor in Structural Engineering or a Master's degree in Structural Engineering will be an asset.
- Previous co-op or internship experience in the engineering consulting field is considered a strong asset.
- Registered with or eligible for registration with applicable provincial professional engineering association.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Good working knowledge of MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Proficient in common structural engineering computer software (e.g. SAP2000, ETABs, SAFE, SpSlab, S-Frame suite of software).
- Familiar with AutoCad or Revit for inter-discipline coordination and assisting with drawing preparation.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail coupled with a client-centric mindset.
- Team player who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to creative thinking and approaching challenges from fresh perspectives, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing within the organization.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation required.
