Original job description

Job Description

Senior Account Manager – Client Growth (Base + Uncapped Commission)

Setsail · Vancouver, BC

Pay: CA 75,000 - CA 100,000 per year (base plus commission)

About Us

Setsail Marketing is a full-service digital marketing agency specializing in SEO, paid advertising, performance marketing, branding, and AI-driven strategy. We work with growing businesses across Canada and the US to create marketing campaigns that deliver results. Our team thrives on creativity, collaboration, and results-driven marketing.

Role Overview

This is not an admin seat. You'll own a portfolio of active client accounts: be the person they trust, keep their campaigns moving, and spot what they need next - and earn uncapped commission on everything you grow. You'll work directly with our leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Own Your Client Relationships

Be the main point of contact for your portfolio of accounts.
Keep clients confident, informed, and excited about the work we deliver.
Lead kickoff and onboarding meetings for the accounts you take on.
Write and deliver client proposals; handle invoicing and general account admin.

✅ Grow Your Book

Learn each client's business deeply enough to see what they need before they ask.
Recommend and close additional services and projects within your accounts - with uncapped commission on what you close.
Keep retention high and grow the revenue your portfolio generates over time.
Build a growth plan for your book with our leadership team.

Compensation & Perks

✅ 75,000-100,000 per year (base + commission)

✅ Uncapped commission on new business you close within your accounts

✅ Quarterly retention bonus for keeping and growing your client portfolio

✅ Career growth as the agency grows

✅ A creative, high-energy team in our Vancouver office

Who You Are

✅ 3+ years of account management experience, ideally at an agency.

✅ A relationship builder with a proven track record in client-facing roles.

✅ A clear, confident communicator - in writing and in the room.

✅ Methodical, organized, and calm juggling many moving pieces.

✅ Business or accounting skills are a bonus.

How to apply

Apply with your resume and a short video (1–2 minutes) to hr@setsail.ca covering the following:

A quick intro: who you are, what you do now, and why this role interests you.

A time you grew an account or saved one from churning. Tell us what you noticed, what you did, and what happened.
