Job Description

This position provides administrative support in material management to the SGS Life Science Services Laboratories.
The incumbent must be capable of multi-tasking to meet the departmental needs working with laboratory supervisors and clients on a regular basis.
Standards and reagents are entered into LIMS system accurately and on timely manner in order to avoid incorrect data transfer to the data base
This position operates under limited supervision.
Multitasking ability at high level to get job done due to proper priorities listing
Work under pressure to meet deadlines based on self-motivated capacity and a sense of urgency in order to meet client and laboratory staff standards/reagents log-in requirements

Qualifications

Minimum of a High School Diploma or a General Educational Development equivalency (GED).
A post-secondary education in a recognized administration program would be an asset.
Previous experience in an administrative or technical role in a pharmaceutical environmnet would be an asset.
Prior technical experience in a chemistry related role would be preferred.
Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions / Standard Operating Procedures in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
Candidates must be proficient in using various type of computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.) and be able to demonstrate good keyboarding skills.
Must be highly organized and able to work effectively and efficiently in a demanding environment with frequently changing priorities.
Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar and composition.
Ability to work well with others & independently.
