Original job description

Reporting to the Operations Manager, Campus Services, the Campus Service Associate provides a variety of support services for Campus Services, including the oneCARD office & the Campus Store and is responsible for 1st level front-line customer service for all clients. This incumbent is responsible for the daily production of oneCARDs, selling services offered through the oneCARD, completing daily reconciliations, deposits and performing Point of Sale (POS) functions for the Campus Store and oneCARD transactions. The incumbent also provides front-line customer services and performs related tasks such as visual merchandising, answering e-mail and telephone inquiries, assisting customers in the store, performing cashier duties, and helping with some general duties for shipping and receiving, e-commerce order fulfilment and course materials. As well as assists with part-time student hiring, training, scheduling and onboarding for Campus Services. The incumbent is responsible for setting high customer service standards by providing an optimal client experience through indirect or direct interactions

What You’ll Be Doing

Assists with general issues with digital course materials, as well as assists with hiring, training, scheduling and onboarding of part-time student staff for Campus Services.
Producing and replacing lost OneCARD cards for students, staff and faculty.
Selling services offered through the oneCARD program
Operation a computer, video camera and a printer along with completing daily reconciliations of oneCARD and Campus Store deposits.
Performing all Point of Sale (POS) transactions for oneCARDs and the Campus Store, including refunds and deposits.
Assisting students in the purchase, processing, and activation of their digital book access codes and finding requested merchandise needed for their course.
Providing key front line customer service and clerical duties in person, telephone and email by answering inquires for oneCARD office and the Campus Store.
Communicating online ordering process to students, including taking them through each individual step from finding their course materials through to completing their purchase.
Maintaining adequate inventories of office supplies including receipts and the reproduction of in-house produced forms, policies and procedures.
Executing the count of weekly supplies office supplies to ensure the oneCARD office and the Campus Store office operates with minimal disruption
Completes Campus Store e-commerce order fulfillments, special orders via email or telephone by documenting information required for ordering and assists with shipping and receiving duties.
Assisting with set-up, cleaning and maintenance of Point-of Sale, ID computers, printers and all relative peripheral equipment.
Driving traffic to oneCARD and Campus Store websites using social media including FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest etc. creating promotional plans. Updating the oneCARD and Campus Store website.
Assisting with coordinating hardware repairs, warranty & parts replacement with service providers. Maintaining and updating files for hardware warranties, service contracts and the security of all computer/relative equipment
Resolving clients’ problems with non-functioning cards, checking status of the client using related databases.
Ensuring all equipment is in working order and performing regular maintenance checks (oneCARD POS, card readers etc.)
Performing end of day POS system reconciliation and ensuring proper office equipment is in place for following day
Design and install eye-catching in-store displays, window displays, signage, and promotional setups that align with seasonal themes and campaigns.
Work closely with store managers, buyers, and marketing teams to understand sales goals, promotions, and inventory levels. Support store staff with training or guidance on maintaining visual standards daily.
Use data on foot traffic and sales trends to adjust displays and floor layouts to drive add-on sales and impulse purchases. Identify underperforming product areas and re-merchandise to boost customer interest.
Set up merchandising for store openings, seasonal sales, graduations, and other special events.
Developing, maintaining and sharing skills in a rapidly changing environment, including researching new products, tools and attending webinars.
Provides other retail-related duties as needed, such as cashier duties, receiving merchandise into the store, gift card maintenance, filing, helping with graduation ceremonies or other events, and assisting with the annual inventory count.
Performing other related duties as assigned during peak periods.

The Successful Candidate Will Also Meet The Following Requirements

2-year degree or diploma in Business, Office Administration, Retail Management, Visual Merchandising or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years experience in a busy automated business office, with in-depth knowledge of oneCARD, Visual Merchandising, Campus Store operations and payment processing (equivalencies to be considered).
Digital camera equipment, ID card/software knowledge.
Experience with Point of Sale (POS) equipment and daily reconciliations.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
