Original job description

Greater Toronto Area · Full-time · Base + uncapped commission · Path to sales management

You've been in sales for a few years now, and you've proven you can sell. You know your numbers, you've had strong months, and you've built the confidence that comes from delivering results.

But you've started to feel like you've outgrown your current role.

Maybe you're one of the better salespeople on your team, but there's nobody pushing you to get better. Maybe your earning potential has hit a ceiling. Or maybe you're tired of working somewhere that treats its top performers the same as everyone else.

At Shine Windows & Gutters and The Deck People, we've grown to over 50 employees serving thousands of Toronto homeowners every year. Now we're looking for an experienced salesperson to grow with us.

What's in it for you

Uncapped earning potential. Our newer sales reps currently earn $80,000 to $120,000 annually, while our most experienced closers generate roughly three times as much sales revenue.
$40,000 base and uncapped commission, your earning potential grows with your performance.
Warm leads, not cold calling. Our marketing and appointment-setting team bring you homeowners who have already expressed interest. Your focus is closing deals.
Surround yourself with strong salespeople. A competitive team that tracks its numbers, shares what works, and pushes each other to improve.
Coaching that actually makes you better. Work directly with our owner, who also advises businesses across North America on sales and growth.
A clear path to grow. Become one of our strongest salespeople and earn opportunities for greater responsibility, including sales leadership.
No daily office commute. Work from home and travel directly to appointments across the GTA.

What you'll be doing

Spend your first 4 to 6 weeks working as a lower-ticket closer, calling warm leads and existing customers to learn our services, systems, and sales process before moving into in-home sales.
Visit homeowners across the GTA, understand their needs, present solutions, and close high-ticket exterior projects.
Sell exterior painting, window cleaning, gutter cleaning, and other services over the phone.
Follow up with prospects, handle objections, and turn undecided customers into booked work.
Our sales team averages a 75% close rate, and once fully trained, you'll be expected to close at least 30 sales per month. You'll track your close rate, average sale, and revenue against clear weekly targets.
Keep your CRM updated and coordinate with production teams to make sure the work you sell is delivered properly.

How we'll help you get better

Ride-alongs with experienced closers, followed by direct feedback.
Weekly one-on-one coaching focused on your appointments, numbers, and close rate.
Proven sales processes, objection-handling training, and AI-assisted call reviews.
A team that shares winning tactics and challenges each other to improve.

Who we're looking for

You'll be a strong fit if you:

Have at least 2 years of sales experience and a track record of performing near the top of your team, with numbers to back it up.
Know your numbers, including your sales targets, close rate, average deal size, and revenue.
Are highly competitive, motivated by financial success, and enjoy working toward ambitious targets.
Take responsibility for your results rather than blaming the leads, the market, or your circumstances.
Can manage your own schedule, follow up consistently, and stay productive without someone watching over you.
Are confident in your ability to sell, but humble enough to have your calls and appointments reviewed, accept direct feedback, and change your approach when there's a better way.

Experience with in-home sales, home improvement, or high-ticket consumer sales is an asset, but not required.

You'll need a valid driver's licence, your own vehicle, a laptop, and a smartphone with data.

Schedule

Full-time, typically 40–50 hours per week
In-home appointments across the Greater Toronto Area
Weekend availability required for customer appointments
Work from home when you're not meeting clients

Compensation and benefits

Base salary: $40,000 plus uncapped commission
Year 1 expected earnings: $80,000 to $120,000
Medical and dental benefits
Paid time off

Ready to apply?

Apply on Indeed with your resume and a short note about your best month in sales.

Tell us what you were selling, your sales target, how much revenue you generated, your close rate, and how you performed compared to your team.

We're not looking for the biggest numbers. We're looking for salespeople who know their numbers, take ownership of their performance, and are hungry to improve them.
