About the Job:
Reporting to the Quality & Privacy Officer, the Quality Improvement Specialist is responsible for development and implementation of program performance Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards and process mapping for our Health and Housing Programs.
The position provides dedicated technical and project capacity required to design Power BI dashboards, standardize quality and risk indicators, and implement reporting tools that deliver real-time client and program information.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement program performance Power BI dashboards within the organization
- Work with Program Managers, Supervisors, staff, privacy and quality team to ensure validity and information
- Provide process mapping
- Support data retention plans, debugging techniques, and alternate management strategies for maintaining data quality
- Ensure quality controls of data are appropriate and achieved
- Troubleshoot and resolve dashboard, software, and connectivity problems
- Write SQL queries to extract data from the data sources.

- Provide support and other duties deemed appropriate by the department Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Information Management, Technology, or equivalent
- 3+ years’ experience working with client databases and records
- Basic knowledge of managing Windows Servers (Active Directory, IIS, SQL Servers)
- Experience in MS-Office, Visio, Access, MySQL, Database replication, HTML and/or Crystal Reports
- Knowledge of Client Record Management System (CRMS)
- Demonstrated understanding of Information Technology, Databases, and Statistical Processes
- Strong knowledge with IT equipment, hardware, and software
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (e.g. Excel, Word, etc.)
Reporting Function:
The Analyst reports directly to the Quality & Privacy Officer. The role of the Data Improvement Specialist does not have any Supervisory responsibility. The role works with both internal and external customers and interacts with all levels within the organization.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Day shifts (Monday – Friday) with the ability to work excess/overtime hours where required
- 7 months Contract
- Able to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time
- Able to answer and communicate telephone calls and general computer use
- Computer screen use (multiple screens if applicable) for prolonged periods of time
- Average amount of physical effort is required. Requires the ability of handling light and moderate weight objects including equipment, IS equipment (printers, etc.) and office supplies
- Vehicle travel to all organization sites is required to support all users
