Original job description

A leading construction organization is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to support their major projects. This role will lead quality assurance and quality control activities, ensuring work is delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, technical specifications, and rigorous quality standards.

The Role

As the Quality Manager, you will provide senior leadership for their Quality Management System and QA/QC program. You will work cross-functionally to establish effective quality processes, manage risk, drive continuous improvement, and maintain complete traceability through project handover.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the QA/QC program.
Develop, maintain, and improve the Project Quality Plan, quality procedures, and associated documentation.
Plan, deliver, and monitor the quality audit program.
Manage non-conformances and corrective actions.
Ensure quality documentation remains accurate, complete, traceable, and available at each stage of work completion.
Compile and present project-wide quality KPIs, audit findings, non-conformance trends, root-cause analysis, and improvement opportunities to project management.
Conduct investigations and assessments into quality concerns and provide practical recommendations to mitigate risk.
Support a proactive quality culture by delivering project-wide training and awareness sessions.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience managing Quality Management Systems within construction or related environments.
Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
Demonstrated experience developing and administering QA/QC programs.
Strong understanding of quality-management principles, document control, inspection processes, non-conformance management, and continuous-improvement practices.
Strong leadership, communication, presentation, organization, and stakeholder-management skills.
