Original job description
We're hiring a Senior Systems Integrator in Saskatoon. You will lead the controls side of our projects, from design and configuration through factory testing, commissioning and support.

Shockwave Automation is an industrial automation and OT/IT integrator based in Saskatoon operating across Western Canada. We do DCS integration, PLC and RTU programming, OT/IT convergence, instrumentation design, panel fabrication and server virtualization. Empowering Automation Excellence.
What you'll do
- Work with technical leadership to develop and deploy advanced mining projects with Shockwaves Autonomous Mining Division (SAAM).
- Lead DCS and PLC configuration on ABB 800xA, Emerson DeltaV and Rockwell PlantPAx
- Build and review HMI work in 800xA, DeltaV Live, FactoryTalk View SE Distributed, FactoryTalk Optix and Ignition
- Run factory acceptance testing and site commissioning
- Set up the servers, SQL databases and virtualization behind the control system
- Mentor our intermediate and junior integrators

Your background:
- Preference will be given to candidates that have an in depth understanding of surface and underground mining environments. Experience with other process and industrial industries will be considered as well.

Requirements
Candidates should have a background in instrumentation, electrical, process, or automation engineering or technology, or equivalent field experience. In-depth knowledge of surface and underground mining environments is preferred; experience in other process or industrial sectors will also be considered.
