Role Description The Beauty Specialist Part Time role is an on-site position based in Calgary, AB, supporting customers with their beauty, skincare, and personal care needs. This role involves greeting customers, providing product recommendations, demonstrating application techniques, and assisting with shade and product selection. The Beauty Specialist helps maintain organized and visually appealing beauty displays, manages stock levels, and ensures testers and product areas are clean and compliant with company standards. Day-to-day tasks include processing transactions, promoting store programs and special offers, and collaborating with pharmacy and front-store teams to deliver a consistent, customer-focused experience. Although the role is part time, flexibility for evenings, weekends, and peak retail periods is expected.

Qualifications

• Customer service and client-facing skills, including active listening, clear communication, and a friendly, professional approach.
• Beauty and skincare product knowledge, with the ability to learn brand lines, ingredients, and application techniques to provide tailored recommendations.
• Sales and retail skills, such as upselling, cross-selling, handling point-of-sale systems, and working toward store and department targets.
• Organization and attention to detail for merchandising, inventory checks, maintaining clean displays, and following store standards and policies.
• Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, stand for extended periods, and collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
• Prior experience in beauty, cosmetics, or retail is an asset; training or certification in aesthetics, cosmetology, or related fields is considered beneficial.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills, reliability in attendance, and a commitment to health, safety, and inclusive customer service.
