Job Type: On-Going Part-time, Independent Contractor Position.
Hours: All applicants MUST have availability for a minimum of 4 hours (2 x 2 hr sessions) during afternoons, weeknights after school, or weekend availability.
Side by Side Therapy is currently looking for skilled individuals to fill contract Instructor Therapist positions in Etobicoke and surrounding areas. Instructor Therapists will work one-on-one with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (or other developmental disabilities) in the children’s home while employing Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) teaching strategies as directed by a Senior Therapist and RBA.

Successful Candidates Must
- Possess a minimum of 6 months employment experience as an Instructor Therapist or similar role, implementing ABA procedures as directed by an RBA.
- Implement sessions as directed by the RBA in accordance with the client’s Individualized Service Plan (ISP) in the client’s home or community.
- Implement feedback from the RBA (or delegate) in a timely manner to improve client outcomes.
- Record and graph data and notes required by the RBA.
- Arrive on time and prepared for all sessions with clients.
- Maintain regular communication with parents, other team members, and the agency.
- Other duties as assigned by the RBA.
- Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
- Access to a reliable method of transportation.
- A College Diploma or University Degree in a related field.
- Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) course completion is an asset.
- Completion of the RBT course or previous registration as an RBT with the BACB.
- ABA/Autism-related Diploma/Certificate is an asset.
- CPR / First Aid certification.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification (or similar certification).
- Weekly Pay.

Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one ABA instruction to children with autism or other developmental disabilities in their homes or communities, following direction from an RBA and the client’s Individualized Service Plan. Apply feedback, record and graph session data, arrive prepared and on time, and communicate regularly with parents, team members, and the agency.
Requirements
Candidates must have at least six months of experience as an Instructor Therapist or in a similar role implementing ABA procedures under an RBA’s direction, along with availability for at least four hours across afternoon, weeknight, or weekend sessions. A college diploma or university degree in a related field, strong organizational and communication skills, collaborative ability, and reliable transportation are sought; RBT training, ABA-related credentials, CPR/First Aid, and crisis intervention certification are assets.
