A Snapshot of Your Day

Take charge of your career and development while helping our customers safely meet the power needs of our communities. Apply the technical and project management knowledge and skills that you’ll learn through our structured Engineer-In-Training program to support our Power generation Customers. Provide on-site technical assistance for troubleshooting, disassembly, inspection and overhaul of Steam Turbine and Gas Turbine Power Generation equipment at our customer locations within Canada, the USA or wherever Siemens Energy is involved in Power Generation.

How You’ll Make An Impact

Participate and complete our Engineer-In-Training (EIT) 12 month program
Show leadership in job site safety programs to ensure safety of personnel and safety of our customer equipment
Provide technical assistance for the disassembly, inspection, troubleshooting and assembly of Steam Turbine and Gas Turbine power generation equipment
Apply knowledge learned through our EIT program, Field Procedures, engineered specifications and engineered drawings to your daily activities as a Field Service Engineer/Representative
Work as a liaison with design engineering groups to troubleshoot and resolve equipment technical issues
Complete inspection technical reports.

What You Bring

Mechanical Engineering degree, Mechanical Technologist diploma or equivalent
Demonstrate relevant experience working in the power generation industry or equivalent
Experience in the maintenance of large gas turbines, steam turbines, generators and associated equipment or similar large equipment
Experience working to and updating complex schedules. Familiarity with related software such as Primavera and/or Microsoft Project.
Flexibility and willingness to work overtime as needed.
Availability to travel for extended periods, up to 70% per year.

Participer à notre programme d’ingénieur en formation d’une durée de 12 mois et le terminer.
Faire preuve de leadership dans les programmes de sécurité sur le chantier afin d’assurer la sécurité du personnel et de l’équipement de nos clients.
Fournir un soutien technique pour l’inspection, le dépannage et l’assemblage des composants de production d’énergie à turbine à vapeur et à turbine à gaz.
Appliquer les connaissances acquises dans le cadre de notre programme d’ingénieur en formation, des procédures sur le terrain, des spécifications techniques et des dessins techniques à vos activités quotidiennes en tant qu’ingénieur/représentant du service sur le terrain.
Assurer la liaison avec les groupes du bureau d’études pour résoudre les problèmes techniques liés à l’équipement.
Remplir des rapports techniques d’inspection.
Aider à la planification, à l’estimation et à l’affectation des ressources pour les inspections visant la production d’énergie.

Ce dont vous avez besoin

Diplôme d’ingénieur en mécanique, diplôme de technologue en génie mécanique ou équivalent
Expérience pertinente dans le secteur de la production d’énergie ou équivalent
Expérience en matière d’entretien de grandes turbines à gaz et à vapeur, de génératrices et d’équipement connexe ou d’équipements similaires de grande taille
Expérience en matière de préparation et de mise à jour d’horaires complexes Familiarité avec les logiciels apparentés tels que Primavera et/ou Microsoft Project
Souplesse et volonté de faire des heures supplémentaires au besoin
Disponibilité pour voyager pendant de longues périodes, jusqu’à 70 % du temps par an
Admissibilité à travailler au Canada Possibilité de voyager et de travailler aux États-Unis ou à l’étranger
