What will you do?
As the Business Tools and Process Integration Specialist, you will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for the development, integration, and optimization of digital tools and business systems within a SAP environment. Working closely with business process owners, sales and operations teams, and internal and external IT partners, you will drive digital transformation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, standardize processes, and improve business performance.
In this highly collaborative role, you will lead the implementation and adoption of business systems and process improvements, support automation and innovation initiatives, and ensure seamless integration across tools, systems, and workflows. Success in this position requires strong leadership, critical thinking, adaptability, communication, and change management skills, along with a passion for continuous improvement and learning. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you will play a key role in shaping the organization's digital and operational excellence strategy!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy, Digital Transformation & Process Improvement
- Partner with business process managers, IT demand managers, IT community, and stakeholders to develop, and implement strategic business tools, systems, and process improvements that support business and IT strategy.
- Identify, analyze, recommend, and present technology solutions that drive operational improvements. Ie. automation, digitalization, standardization, and operational efficiency.
- Champion the implementation and adoption of new IT technologies and continuous improvement initiatives and reporting.
Business Systems & SAP Governance
- Serve as the SAP Subject Matter Expert (SME), maintaining and supporting the tools and system landscape in alignment with business needs and IT strategies.
- Lead system migrations, upgrades, testing, user access management, role assignments, and reporting requirements; Maintain and update tools, systems, and processes to support evolving business needs.
- Ensure business tools, systems, and processes remain effective, scalable, and aligned with organizational priorities; Manage user access, role assignments, and business reporting requirements.
Project Leadership & Implementation
- Lead business systems and process integration projects from planning through deployment, including risk management, change management, stakeholder engagement, and performance reporting.
- Monitor project progress and communicate status, metrics, and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Coordinate development, implementation, and integration activities with business and IT teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
User Adoption, Change Management & Training
- Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Business Acceptance Testing (BAT), and pilot programs, training initiatives, communication plans, and change management strategies.
- Drive user adoption and process standardization through change management activities and super-user communities.
- Deliver training programs on business tools, systems, and processes to support successful adoption.
Operational Support & Stakeholder Engagement
- Provide advanced support for business users, sales, operations teams, and functional departments, including complex SAP transactions and issue resolution.
- Partner with corporate IT and business stakeholders to resolve system issues, improve processes, and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Escalate complex system and process issues to corporate IT and track resolution progress.
- Identify opportunities to streamline activities and improve operational efficiency through automation; Foster collaboration between business users and technical teams to ensure seamless process integration.
- Promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the organization.
Location: Oakville/GTA, ON office is the preferred location, however, the successful candidate may be based out of our office located in Calgary AB.
What will you need to succeed?
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Commerce, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in IT management, project management, service management, finance management, and business process improvement (BPI).
Business Systems & Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of SAP, with Project System (PS) Module experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Power Platform, and Microsoft Dynamics.
- Knowledge of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, AI governance, data management, and automation technologies.
- Experience supporting business systems, digital tools, process automation, systems integration, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and leverage technology to enhance business operations; Ability to identify and resolve complex business and technical challenges.
Project Delivery & Change Management Skills / Experience:
- Experience working with Agile, Lean, Continuous Improvement, or similar methodologies.
- Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive the successful adoption of new tools, systems, and processes.
Core Competencies:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Collaborative and customer-focused approach with the ability to build relationships across business and technical teams.
- Strong facilitation, training, and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Additional Requirements:
- Travel - Ability to travel approximately 20% within Canada and occasionally internationally.
Asset(s) Nice-To-Have:
- Experience with MS SQL Server, Business Intelligence (BI) tools, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and data analytics platforms.
- Bilingual French and English communication skills.
