Role
You will contribute to the automation of the design, integration, and testing activities associated with electronic systems for satellite payloads and related space electronic products.
You will support electronic development teams throughout the manufacturing lifecycle, from design and analysis automation to the processing and use of production test results.
You will also contribute to the implementation, evolution, and maintenance of engineering infrastructure and tools, particularly within DevOps and cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, document, and implement systems to automate electronic and software development activities.
- Manage engineering tools and third-party intellectual property, including procurement, licensing, installation, upgrades, maintenance renewals, and IT capacity planning.
- Manage tools used for PCB, FPGA, software, RF circuit, and system design.
- Establish governance practices, organize information, and guide users through the digital transformation of their working methods.
- Support engineering departments in migrating tools to cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and Databricks.
- Support engineering teams by diagnosing and resolving issues related to engineering-specific infrastructure.
- Create, maintain, and improve Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Implement, maintain, and improve application and system logging and monitoring to help identify key performance indicators.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong command of scripting languages used for automation, including Python, PowerShell, Groovy, Bash, or VBScript.
- Relevant Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) engineering experience, including Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Understanding of FPGA, printed circuit board design, or software development tools.
- Knowledge of Agile software development practices.
- Good understanding of computer networking and fundamental enterprise security principles.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality documentation and adapt the appropriate level of detail for both IT teams and end users.
Assets
- Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills, particularly related to performance optimization, security hardening, and high availability.
- Experience with source control tools such as Git, GitLab, Bitbucket, GitHub, and SVN.
