Business Development Manager, Custom Cabinetry & Millwork

Silverbirch Cabinetry & Millwork Inc. | Caledonia, Ontario

Full-time, permanent | Field-based with regular office collaboration | Territory: Hamilton,

Burlington, Oakville, Brantford, and the GTA

About Silverbirch

Silverbirch is an owner-led manufacturer of custom kitchens, vanities, cabinetry, and millwork

for high-end residential projects. Founded in 2019, we design and build from our shop in

Caledonia. We have grown by delivering high-quality cabinetry solutions to our network of

builders, designers, contractors, and developers.

The role

You will take responsibility for a defined set of existing accounts and build new relationships

with custom home builders, renovation contractors, interior designers, and developers. You will

also work with homeowners on substantial custom projects. You will lead each opportunity from

first conversation through qualification, proposal, negotiation, and signed agreement. This is a hands-on individual-contributor role. You will report to the management team and help

shape how we develop accounts and run our sales process. As the business grows and results

support it, the role may take on broader responsibility.

What you will do

  • Build a focused prospect list and create opportunities through outreach, site visits, referrals,

and industry events.

  • Plan and grow assigned accounts: learn about client's upcoming projects and earn more of

their suitable work.

  • Qualify each project for fit, budget, decision-makers, and timing. Review drawings and

specifications early so proposals reflect the real scope, and give preliminary budget

guidance using approved guidelines.

  • Coordinate design and estimating input, present proposals, negotiate within approved

pricing, and secure commitments and deposits.

  • Keep the pipeline current in our CRM with next steps, expected dates, and account notes,

and check commitments against delivery capacity with the team.

  • Hand each project to the delivery team through a clear, written handoff. Then stay close to

the client, gather feedback, and build repeat business.

What you bring

  • A track record of winning and growing B2B business through consultative, relationship-

based selling, ideally including personal responsibility for existing and new clients.

  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Experience selling to builders, contractors, designers, or developers. Cabinetry or millwork is

ideal. We also welcome people who have sold architectural windows and doors, surfaces,

flooring, or other premium building products.

  • Evidence of both new business you originated and accounts you grew over time, with a

clear sense of your personal contribution.

  • Commercial judgment: you can discuss budgets, explain value, protect margin, and decline

to promise what the team has not approved.

  • Comfort reading architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Reliable follow-through and comfort with CRM, email, spreadsheets, and shared documents.
  • A valid drivers licence and the ability to travel regularly to client sites and our Caledonia

office.

  • You work well inside a close, team-focused environment.

What you can expect

  • An onboarding period with our team and in the shop, learning how we design, estimate,

build, and install, and being introduced to your assigned accounts.

  • After onboarding, most of your time in the field, with regular time at our Caledonia office.
  • A company vehicle and fuel, plus a laptop and phone.
  • Group benefits after a three-month probationary period.
  • Direct access to ownership and quick decisions.
  • Products and a team you can stand behind: the people who design and build the work are

down the hall.

Compensation:

Base salary of $90,000 to $110,000 per year, based on experience and

demonstrated results, plus commission.
