SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT (SAS) - ELEMENTARY

Full-time Temporary Contract (35 hours/week)

The Senior Administrative Support - Elementary is responsible for all of the main office functions by performing, prioritizing, co-ordinating tasks and duties to ensure the administrative team meet timelines. The Senior Administrative Support acts as a resource to both internal and external individuals.

Qualifications

Required: Secondary School Diploma. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organization, prioritization and problem solving skills. Advanced skills in various software applications, e.g. MS Office. Excellent word processing skills. Ability to adapt to changing situations in the workplace. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Ability to meet tight deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Preferred: Knowledge of Simcoe County District School Board Policies, Administrative Procedures Memoranda and Numbered Memoranda. Knowledge of board approved software, e.g. ATE, SchoolCash.net, JD Edwards, and Power School student information system. Knowledge of basic office and accounting procedures. First Aid and CPR Certificate. Previous experience working in a school environment. The duties, responsibilities and requirements for this position are not limited to the above but may include all of those in the Job Fact Sheet for Senior Administrative Support - Elementary.

Participation in the OMERS Pension Plan is mandatory for all full-time permanent employees,

even if currently in receipt of an OMERS pension.
