The ideal candidate is a creative, proactive and adaptable communicator with a strong understanding of social media platforms, digital storytelling and audience engagement. They bring fresh ideas, a strong visual sensibility and the ability to translate complex topics and institutional priorities into compelling, accessible content. They have hands-on experience producing social content, including filming, video editing, photography, interviewing and writing for different platforms and audiences.

Strong communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills are essential, as the role works closely with stakeholders across the university to identify opportunities and develop engaging content. The candidate demonstrates sound editorial judgement, understands social media best practices and emerging trends, and can adapt quickly to evolving platforms and audience behaviours. They are organized, resourceful and comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and brand consistency.
