What You'll Be Doing

Simplii Financial is a modern, customer-first organization where growth is driven by insight, experimentation, and strong decision-making. The Growth team works at the intersection of data, customer behaviour, and product performance to identify and act on the signals that move the business forward. As a Growth Intelligence Analyst, you'll bring analytical and financial rigour to that work by building forecasting models, experimentation frameworks, and performance analyses that help the team understand where growth is coming from, where it's going, and what decisions will move it in the right direction. You'll develop growth hypotheses grounded in customer data and business goals, evaluate the financial impact of initiatives, and translate what you learn into recommendations that shape product, marketing, and lifecycle strategies. You'll be part of the Growth team, supported in your craft development and career growth by the Director, Growth, while working day to day with your squad to deliver shared outcomes.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How You'll Succeed

Financial modelling and forecasting - Build and maintain models in Excel that project revenue, growth rates, customer acquisition costs, and portfolio performance. Partner with Finance to support latest estimate cycles, forecasting, and planning processes, and run scenario and sensitivity analyses to test assumptions and plan for multiple outcomes.
Experimentation and growth hypotheses - Develop growth hypotheses grounded in customer data, behavioural insights, and business goals. Maintain an experimentation backlog prioritized by impact, confidence, and effort, and measure experiment results with rigour to clearly articulate impact, confidence, and trade-offs.
Portfolio performance and P&L support - Lead performance tracking across key metrics, including balances, inflows and outflows, retention, and customer acquisition cost/lifetime value (CAC/LTV). Evaluate the financial impact of growth initiatives, support profit and loss (P&L) management, and identify opportunities within the portfolio to improve outcomes.
Insight generation - Translate analysis into actionable insights that inform growth strategy and prioritization. Connect financial performance to customer behaviour and growth levers to help the business make clear, confident, and informed decisions.
Cross-functional collaboration - Work closely with Finance, Analytics, Product, and Growth partners to align assumptions, share findings, and ensure analysis reflects the most current business context. Communicate complex concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders and contribute recommendations to senior audiences.

Who You Are

You have relevant experience. You bring 3-5 years of experience in growth analytics, financial analysis, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), or a related field. You have experience building models, running experiments, and generating strategic insights in a cross-functional environment. Experience in financial services, financial technology (fintech), or another regulated industry is an asset.
You are an expert in Excel. You build models from scratch and create dynamic reporting tools that are clear, practical, and reliable. You bring advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or Structured Query Language (SQL) is an asset.
You give meaning to data. You collect and interpret complex data and turn it into insights that support decision-making. You know how to distinguish between data that is interesting and data that is meaningful, and you communicate your findings in a way others can act on.
You think strategically. You don't just report what happened. You develop a point of view on what it means and what should happen next, connecting financial performance and experimentation results to growth strategy in a way that's specific, credible, and useful.
You know that details matter. You produce accurate work, document assumptions clearly, and hold yourself to a high standard of analytical quality. You follow through on your commitments and bring consistency and care to everything you do.
You communicate with clarity. You can explain a model to a product manager and a growth hypothesis to a Finance partner. You think about your audience before your output and make complex ideas accessible without losing the nuance that matters.
