What you'll do
- Explore new ideas to improve crop quality and yield through literature review and other resources
- Conduct crop maturity assessment, crop quality assessment, and crop harvesting logistics
- Design and conduct experiments to determine the effects of growing conditions on plant growth and expand crop recipes for our partner farms
- Monitor, record, investigate and identify problems with plant growth in the lab as well as the farm
- Perform farm operations (seeding, transplanting, harvesting), basic lab operations (sampling and analysis), and managing laboratory
- Report and assist CTO in on-going and ad hoc projects
- Minimum Diploma or ITE in Plant Science, Agriculture, Agronomy, Environmental Science, or related fields
- Experience in Data Analytics or related fields will be beneficial
- Experience in leading daily operation and research management of a technology-farm in a controlled environment with experience in remote sensing preferred
- Good communication and writing skills
- Good coordination / project management skills
- Able to plan and execute experiments with minimal supervision
- Able to take initiative to improve processes and troubleshoot problems
- Able to organize well and adhere to deadlines
- Preferably have experience or interest in farming or gardening environment
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Full-time minimum 6 months required

Responsibilities
Research ways to improve crop quality and yield, assess crop maturity and quality, and design experiments to evaluate growing conditions and develop crop recipes. Monitor plant growth, troubleshoot issues, perform farm and laboratory operations, and support ongoing and ad hoc projects with the CTO.
Requirements
A minimum diploma or ITE qualification in Plant Science, Agriculture, Agronomy, Environmental Science, or a related field is required; experience in data analytics is beneficial, and controlled-environment technology-farm operations and remote sensing experience are preferred. Candidates should be able to plan and execute experiments independently, communicate and coordinate effectively, manage projects and deadlines, and show initiative in improving processes and troubleshooting.
