Profile: Our client is a well-established leader in chemical solutions, known for its strong industry reputation, reliable supply chain, extensive product portfolio, and commitment to delivering value-added technical expertise to its customers.

They are currently seeking an Account Manager to join their team and take ownership of the Oil & Gas market in Fort St. John, British Columbia.

This is an exciting opportunity for a relationship-driven sales professional who enjoys being out in the field, building long-term partnerships, and uncovering new business opportunities. In this role, you will manage and grow key customer accounts while developing new opportunities and providing tailored chemical solutions that address the evolving needs of industrial clients.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong commercial mindset, a proactive approach to business development, and the ability to build trusted relationships with customers across the Oil & Gas industry.

Territory: Fort St. John, British Columbia.

Workplace: Fort St. John, British Columbia - office presence required 2 days per week, with the remaining time spent supporting customers and developing business throughout the territory.

Products/Services: Chemical solutions

Salary: Base salary of $95 000 + 10% Northern Living Allowance

Commissions/Bonus: Quarterly bonus program representing 15% of base salary, based on contribution margin growth objectives established each quarter. (Uncapped bonus)

Car allowance: Company vehicle provided from day one.

Expense’s reimbursement: Company credit card provided for all reasonable business-related expenses.

Functions:

Manage and grow a portfolio of industrial customers while developing strong long-term relationships.
Identify new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and territory development.
Conduct customer visits, understand business needs, and recommend tailored solutions.
Manage the full sales cycle, including opportunity development, negotiations, and closing agreements.
Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecasts, and CRM activity.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective customer support and service delivery.
Stay informed on market trends, industry developments, product offerings, and regulatory requirements.
Represent the company at customer meetings and industry events.

Requirements:

Development vs Maintenance: 70% vs 30%

Road vs Office: 60% vs 40%

Languages: Excellent written and spoken English skills.

Education: University Degree required

Training: 3 months training provided

Overnight Travel: Very little overnight travel

Years of experience: 2+ years of experience in a field-based sales, territory management, or customer-facing role.
