Original job description

Outside Sales Representative - Wholesale Distribution

About this Role:

We are hiring an Outside Sales Representative on behalf of our client, a well-established and growing Western Canadian battery distributor, to grow their business across the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. This role is designed for a B2B sales professional who can take over an established territory of about $1M in sales, grow share of wallet with existing customers, and win new ones. You’ll start with a structured 6-month inside sales ramp-up with guaranteed income before moving into the territory full time with a stable, growth-focused company.

Responsibilities:

Complete a structured 6-month inside sales ramp-up at the Burnaby branch to learn the products, customers, and processes
Manage and grow an inherited book of business of about $1M across the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island
Increase share of wallet with existing customers through regular visits, product reviews, and proactive account planning
Serve a balanced mix of wholesale, automotive, RV and marine, and industrial customers
Find, approach, and win new customers in the territory
Lead with the company’s key strategic brand to open doors with new accounts
Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities, with a focus on gross margin, not just revenue
Give customers expert advice on the right battery and power solutions for their needs
Follow through on quotes, orders, and issues quickly to deliver outstanding service
Work closely with inside sales and supply chain to keep customers in stock and support forecasting
Keep accurate account and pipeline records, and represent the company at customer events and trade shows

What You’ll Need:

5+ years of B2B sales experience
A track record of growing a territory and winning new business
Strong relationship-building, needs-discovery, and closing skills
Battery, electrical, or technical product knowledge is an asset
Comfortable with CRM, ERP, and Microsoft Office tools
Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle, with the ability to travel regularly to Vancouver Island

This Role Is Ideal For:

A B2B sales rep who has grown a territory and wants a bigger book to build on
Someone from distribution, automotive aftermarket, electrical, or industrial sales
A trusted advisor who leads with service and product knowledge
A self-motivated rep who makes good decisions independently
A team-first professional who wants long-term growth

What We Can Offer You:

$65,000 - $70,000 base salary plus commission (target total compensation around $100,000)
Commission guaranteed for the first 6 months
Car allowance, phone, and approved expenses
An established territory of about $1M in sales
A structured 6-month ramp-up so you’re set up to succeed
A close-knit team with direct access to leadership
A growing company that keeps winning customers in a softer market

How to Apply: Through this posting or email your resume to admin@sitetalent.ca
