Volunteer Skating Assistant

SkatingHour is looking for enthusiastic and responsible *Volunteer Skating Assistants* to support our Learn-to-Skate programs for children, teens, and adults.

This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy skating, working with children, gaining coaching experience, or completing volunteer/community service hours.

## Responsibilities

• Assist skating coaches during group lessons.

• Help participants with basic skating exercises and activities.

• Support young beginner skaters who may need additional assistance.

• Help organize cones and other training equipment before and after classes.

• Assist with keeping groups organized and ensuring participants follow safety instructions.

• Encourage students and help create a positive and welcoming environment.

• Follow instructions provided by the Head Coach or Program Coordinator.

## Requirements

• Basic ice-skating ability is preferred.

• Comfortable working with children and beginner skaters.

• Friendly, patient, responsible, and punctual.

• Able to follow coaching and safety instructions.

• Available for weekday evenings and/or weekends.

• Previous coaching or volunteering experience is an asset but *not required*.
