Apprentice Mechanic

Role Description The Apprentice Mechanic role at SKY Automotive is a full-time, on-site position based in Oakville, ON. In this role, the apprentice will assist senior technicians with vehicle inspections, routine maintenance, and basic repairs, while learning to diagnose issues under supervision. Daily responsibilities include performing oil changes, tire rotations, brake checks, and fluid services, as well as maintaining a clean and safe work area. The apprentice will support troubleshooting efforts, help document repair work, and follow shop procedures and safety standards. This position offers hands-on training, growth opportunities, and exposure to a variety of automotive systems and equipment. The apprentice will also be expected to help with picking up/delivering tires from off site storage, wash vehicles, and overall, run errands.

We are looking for someone who is young, and new to the trade. Someone who is willing to learn.

• Ability to follow instructions, work safely, and collaborate effectively with senior technicians and team members.
• Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and reliability in attendance and punctuality.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
